In the countryside lies the Berkenhof Asylum over which nurse Sissi rules gently and charmingly. Visiting the nearby town she becomes the victim of an accident during which a passer by saves her life then disappears leaving only a button from his sleeve. Sissi finds him and learns that he is not only an ex soldier but also a bank robber, totally disinterested in her.
When a bank robbery goes wrong his fate is in her hands...
