Mariangela Melato stars as Raffaella, a shrill and utterly loathsome, who is ‘swept away’ by Giancarlo Giannini’s communist Gennarino. Whilst swimming off the coast of Sardinia, the tide drops them on a deserted island. Having to fend for themselves, the roles reverse, as Raffaella seeks dependency.
