Carmen
The film based on the French novel and Bizet's opera which it inspired; it explores the legend by staging a modern version with musicians and dancers busy rehearsing their interpretation of the story of Carmen. The producer and the star dancer Antonio is searching for his Carmen, eventually choosing a girl named Carmen to play her. At that point art begins to imitate life with tragic consequences.
