The Sixth of May
Product Description
THE SIXTH OF MAY is a fictionalised account of the assassination of Dutch politician Pim Fortuyn.
The film takes the point of view of a photojournalist who was in the vicinity of the murder and happened to witness some suspicious goings-on. As he delves further into the case, he begins to suspect that the government had a hand in Fortuyn's murder – a revelation that could cost him and his young daughter their lives.
Ironically, director Theo van Gogh suffered the same fate as the subject of his film when he was assassinated over his political beliefs.
