Fun piece on the BBC web site on the hilarious Pardon My French web site dedicated to spoofs in French of famous English songs. The idea of the site is to have a light-hearted jibe at France's linguistic protection laws. At the same time the Paron My French site is a really great way to learn new vocabulary and the nuances of French usage as each song has a link to the literal translation of the lyrics in French so that you can read the words while listening to the Gallic ditty, as well as links to the original English song on YouTube. Our favourite: Londres Appelant, Rudy's version of London Calling by the Clash.
