Michel Thomas Method: Digital Language Courses

Anyone can learn and succeed with the Michel Thomas Method – in days, not years! We offer the complete range of these highly popular self-study courses in digital format for learners of French, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Dutch, Polish, Greek, Mandarin Chinese, Hindi, Norwegian, Japanese, Swedish, Irish, Korean and Arabic (both Egyptian Arabic and Modern Standard Arabic).

Start with the Foundation series if you are a complete beginner, then move on to the Intermediate series. For French, Spanish, Italian and German there is also the Language Builder, which builds additional vocabulary as an extension of the Foundation and Intermediate courses or on its own. The Vocabulary Course (French, German, Italian, Spanish, Egyptian Arabic and Mandarin Chinese) can be used on its own by intermediate learners, and is the right next step after the Foundation and Intermediate courses. The Insider’s Intermediate Conversation Courses (French, German, Italian and Spanish) are ideal for intermediate learners who want to take their conversation further. The Start series is the first hour of the Foundation course: an inexpensive introduction to a new language, for example before travelling abroad.

What’s included

The lessons are digital audio. You can stream them through your account on the Michel Thomas website (michelthomas.com) or download them to the free Michel Thomas Language Library app for Android and iPhone.

The key course vocabulary is provided in the language you are learning, with English translations, in an accompanying booklet, which you can download from the Michel Thomas website or to the Language Library app.

All Foundation and Intermediate courses also end with audio review lessons, which help you check that you have mastered all the course vocabulary. If you have, you are ready to move on to the next course; if not, don’t worry – just start the course again, or go back to the lessons that need attention.

After you buy

You will receive an email from us confirming your order and its number. We then validate the order with the publisher, Hodder & Stoughton, and within a few days email you a unique access code with instructions on how to activate your course.

Once you have redeemed the code, you can use the course both on the Michel Thomas website and in the Michel Thomas Language Library app. The app lets you use the lessons offline; streaming from the website needs an internet connection. The website works in all browsers and on desktop computers, tablets and smartphones, and the app on iOS and Android phones and tablets.
