Life in France is an attractive and well-presented publication for those keen to deepen their knowledge of the French way of life. Each topic talks in English about an aspect of French culture. These short articles are accompanied by ‘useful phrases’, ‘language tips’ or ‘idioms’ all most helpful to intermediate or advanced students of the French language. The choice of French terms, expressions and colloquialisms is particular pertinent and of great value to English learners who wish to ‘sound more French’ and add a little je ne sais quoi to their vocabulary. The layout of Life in France is well designed to make an easy read. Finally, the appearance of the publication is enhanced by good quality photographs often shot at interesting angles. I will be recommending this audio book to my French students.
