Updated edition for the GCSE (9-1) course.

This edition has been fully updated in line with the latest 2017 reforms and presents all the elements of the new syllabus. This includes, as far as grammar is concerned, the introduction of the subjunctive mood. In addition, the activities and texts have been revised and adapted according to the new structure of the AQA and Edexcel exams. This updated edition features translation activities in English and Italian similar to those presented in the official GCSE exams, while Italian literary passages have also been included among the comprehension activities.

Each section in this updated edition proposes reading, listening, writing and speaking activities in the style of the Edexcel and AQA GCSE exam questions, specifically the Higher Tier. The volume also offers two complete GCSE Higher Tier practice exams compiled according to AQA and Edexcel specifications (the AQA style exam is printed at the back of the book while the Edexcel version is available to download free of charge). An answer key for all the exercises is provided in the book. The accompanying CD provides the course audio and the Edilingua website the book's audio transcripts.
